"Uncle Sam wants you Join the army marines or navy visit foreign lands.
Kill people you have never met." An advertisment from the 60's said it best huh.
Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Rag (Next Stop Vietnam)
Country Joe & the Fish
Come on all of you big strong men
Uncle Sam needs your help again
he's got himself in a terrible jam
way down yonder in Viet Nam so
put down your books and pick up a gun we're
gonna have a whole lotta fun

And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for
don't ask me I don't give a damn, next stop is Viet Nam
And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates
ain't no time to wonder why, whoopee we're all gonna die

Come on generals, let's move fast
your big chance has come at last
now you can go out and get those reds
cos the only good commie is the one that's dead and
you know that peace can only be won when we've
blown 'em all to kingdom come

Come on wall street don't be slow
why man this war is a go-go
there's plenty good money to be made by
supplying the army with the tools of its trade
let's hope and pray that if they drop the bomb,
they drop it on the Viet Cong

Come on mothers throughout the land
pack your boys off to Viet Nam
come on fathers don't hesitate
send your sons off before it's too late
and you can be the first ones on your block
to have your boy come home in a box

Psalms 34:1 - I will bless Jehovah at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 16:7 - I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me
" I pass to you the torch that Christ once passed to me, others are still in the dark an need the light to see"

Interesting choice of songs there lilli

Startling how close Vietnam and the current police Action are .
we have again placed our troops in a place to be policemen the problem here is they are not police they are trained Killing Machines sent To Kill not to Police.
with each passing day the similarities between Viet Nam and the Middle East become apparent.

once again our soldiers find themselves unable to fight a war so they have been reduced to common policemen a job in which they are not prepared to do.

And our Administration has backed them into the quagmire that they feared so much. Anything they do from this point on will be scrutinzed by the world .......I hope

And exactly as in Viet Nam
1)we have no right to be there
2)the people in country do not want us there
3)We have sent killers to do police work

dont get me wrong I am ex-military I am one of the Killers
but that is what i was trained to do Kill the ENEMY
i was not ever trained on how to POLICE a country
there are times when war is justified but even so it makes war an ugly thing. you should never place our soldiers in a situation where they will be continually shot at putting innocent CIVILIANS of anothr COUNTRY in the middle of the bullets

reality is our troops should never have set foot in Either Viet Nam or the Middle east. but they did and on both occaisions we find ourselves embroiled in agaony

like smokey the bear said

no one is gonna step in and do it for us

this is our country damn it do you want the world thinking all the shitty things about you cuz some Eunich in charge is fucking it all up?

i dont
