Just a reminder...Arcadian Fields Ministries has rented the facilities at Cyber City http://www.cybercitylakewood.com/
the night of Saturday June 11th for a LAN Party.

A minimum donation will grant visitors access to more than a dozen networked computers and 2 big screen televisions for a whole night of on-line gaming and surfing. A donation of $20 or more will grant access to the VIP Room which will include foos ball, standup arcade games and a keg.

Featured musician, Humachine, will also be there showcasing his creative talents.

Drop on by any time between 7pm and midnight.

It went quite well, actually. As I've come to learn about these things, the success of an event should never be measured on income alone.

We made back $40 on the keg, so we broke even financially. But this is only because we ended up competing, unexpectedly, with a Halo 2 Tournament that had been going on all afternoon.

Once again, the musician we brought along with us impressed the owner of the venue--which is my prime concern with any event of this nature--and we were invited back to play again.

There is talk of maybe doing this every two weeks or so. So I'm going to see if I can't get a different musician/dj each time. It'll be a great way to showcase a lot of local creative talent.

Baby steps, baby steps...
